Our Rescue team in Thailand wanted to make up for time lost in 2020 by doubling our rescues in 2021.
One of the 10 rescues was two siblings, an 8-year-old girl, and an 11-year-old boy. In their short lives, they have endured many disturbing, heartbreaking things that no kid should ever hear, see, or experience.
These children, who should have been studying, playing, and going outside, have lived a life plagued with slave labor and abuse. Amongst other things, they were forced to labor for $2 a day in the cornfields while their mom and step-dad drank the children’s earnings away and then beat them if they couldn’t produce more money. A child should never have to worry about the beating they will get if they don’t make enough money, or if something even worse will happen to them.
The good news is that these things will never be a thought in their little minds again. This brother and sister are now safe. They have been set free! Free to study! Free to laugh! Free to play! Free to dream and to live! Their lives will never be the same!
