WE ARE HONORED TO BE PART OF A GOVERNMENT NETWORK WHICH INFORMS US WHEN A CHILD NEEDS TO BE RESCUED.
HOW WE RESCUE
We don’t use just one method to rescue children, we use every resource and contact available to reach as many children as we can.
We were the first government-recognized safe home on the Thai/Myanmar border. We are also members of their Official Child Protection Committee.
Rescues happen in many different ways. We deploy our teams into poverty and drug-infested areas where traffickers prey on the desperation of families. When we find a child being exploited, we intervene either directly or through our local partners to get the child out of harm’s way and into a safe house.
We are also part of a network with the head of social welfare, police, border control, hospitals, community leaders, and local NGOs who refer victims to us. No matter where the child comes from, our primary goal is to get them to safety and begin the process of recovery and healing.
OUR RESCUE HEADQUARTERS IS THE FIRST OF ITS KIND.
Here, we facilitate important meetings with government officials and other NGOs. We determine the best interests of rescued children, as well as handle their case management.
