We were facing a month-long quarantine, given less than a day to prepare and we didn’t have the capacity to store enough food for everyone…
But God knew our need long before we did.
Late, on April 1st, we were told that the government would officially extend their lockdown until April 30th. With very little warning, we had to prepare to meet the needs of our staff and children for the entire month. God had a plan in place though and once again, He has provided above and beyond what we could have imagined!!
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our heroes, Pastor Chris and Sue McDonald, and Life in Christ Church in Marion, KY! They listened to their hearts and have met a major need for us! Because of their generosity, we were able to not only purchase a month’s supply of food to feed 120 children and 30 caregivers, but we were also able to purchase additional freezers for all our children’s homes to store all of the meat!! We actually ended up with so much food that we had to call for a second truck just to pick up the meat!
Pastor Chris & Sue, and Life in Christ Church, THANK YOU from the bottom of our heart for taking such good care of us during this time! Because of your continued faithfulness, our staff and kids will be well provided for during this quarantine!
